Autumn & Us....

Looking through the folders of images shot @ Miyajima, I am at a loss on how to present them on this blog coz' the beauty of the place is simply just too overwhelming. I can't do the place enough justice with my photography, try as I might... the light is just so beautiful and the colors of the leaves (if you are thinking these colors are enhanced, they are not. It's as accurate as it is shown..) Breathtaking yeah? :D

Both ms Clover and I were totally captivated by the tranquility as well as the beauty of this park (we took a nice & slow 2 hours trek in it) and agreed unanimously that it's the perfect place to shoot an entire pre-wedding in this setting... much to the bemused stares and foreign well-wishes of the park visitors :p

The following are just my humble attempts on the 5D to show you what Autumn is like @ Momijidani Park.. enjoy! :)

(click for larger image) - don't you just love the clear, crisp light?

(click for larger image) - resident Miyajima deers. You find them everywhere and they are just so friendly!

(click for larger image) - Here's one deer who doesn't shy away from human proximity.

(click for larger image) - inside Itsukushima Shrine

(click for larger image) - again, the evening light here is so awesome that we made an impromptu stop @ Yokogawa (enroute from Miyajima Guchi to Hiroshima JR stn) to shoot @ the river and its vast expansion of space on its banks.

(click for larger image) - Interestingly haunting but we love this combi of shot.

Now that
we are in Osaka, we will be zipping to Universal Studios and the Osaka Aquarium (where they have a ful grown whale shark on display in a ginormous tank display!) for a look-see... more later! :D

in a few hours...

I will be boarding the plane for Bali where I will be shooting C & JJ's wedding @ the beautiful Tirtha Bali resort in Uluwatu tomorrow.

Added stress coz it's really a beautiful place and most of my peers have already shot there and have returned with amazing shots... will pray for excellent weather, fantastic ceremony and lots of great action to shoot.

For couples and clients,

DO forgive if I may be tardy in my email replies, I will answer to the emails as soon as possible. For the couples whom I still have outstandings with, I will be clear them before the end of month. Thank you very much for your kind patience :)

see everyone back on the 20th.

Island romance :)

While going thru some of my fav shots from the event, I was again overwhelmed by their love for each other as well as how their friends turn up in droves to give support to them in P. Tioman.. really tells a lot about who this couple is also... the island getaway was really good for everyone as we are in a more laidback mood and naturally, shots turn out better too :p

Welcome to Paradise!!

Just came back from covering Mudgod & Ms P's ROM getaway in Pulau Tioman over the weekend... Great getaway place and kudos to Mudgod & Ms P for finding this amazing place, where I would forget time and again that it's Pulau Tioman, I seriously imagine that maldives would look like this too!!

so what do I mean by 'Paradise'? :)

Turquoise waters, blue skies and the wonderful services by the staff of Jepamala Resort welcomes you right into the paradise.. Makes you wanna just laze around in the sun and enjoy diving or snorkelling in the clear waters...

Great destination to go!

I guess it's really a good learning experience for me coz I know I need to break that ceiling of creativity once again... the shots felt.. hmm.. I dunno.. 'normalish' maybe? Well, it's going to be just 12 -15 images printed big for their wedding in Singapore around July so they have lots to choose from but my personal view is that I felt I need a lot more experience in doing pre-weddings...

Updates from Penang :)

Officially, I'm on holiday mood liao, later in the morning we (Ms Clover and I) will be flying off to Bangkok for another few days of shopping and eating.. what gluttons we are... heheh

the wedding shoot in Penang was extremely wonderful with the very nice couple and their parents. Although the weather was alittle rotten but we were blessed with a glimpse of the golden setting sun along the beaches of Paradise Sandy Bay resort. The couple hails from New Zealand but as the bride is from Penang, they held a small dinner here for their relatives and I was very blessed to be hired by them to cover their western styled dinner - the food is amazingly good :)

anyway, here's some shots to share:

They actually have placards for EVERYONE attending the dinner and I was really honoured to be invited also... :D

Well, the next update should be in Bangkok where we will be checking into the LeBua @ State Tower and enjoying all the perks of this new chic hotel :) One of our to-go places would be the bedsupper club where it's so hyped in the media as well as recommended by Ms Snooze a long while back... hope to have good photos of the club's chic interiors when I'm back.. hehehe

meanwhile I can't wait to meet up with silver_crv and wife in bangkok as well as a fellow band member who's on a business trip there also.. :)
