I always think the 6 degrees of separation notion is quite incredible :)

When I met up with Lilian who contacted me some time back for her PreWedding & Actual Day shoot, I had the surprise of my life when her husband-to-be, Evans, turned out to be my OCS mate during the Tri-Service term! And talking about coincidence, Lilian's bestie was someone I met 4 years ago while working in Comex together!

Again, like the old saying goes:"of all the gin joints in the world..." Anyway we had a blast shooting today for their ESession despite the ridiculously humid weather but we were blessed with great lighting, great company and lotsa fun! :p

It was a good day... great weather with the last bit being unpredictable in the evening as we were hoping for a late sunset but since it decided to be overcast, we switched to shootin a little differently.

Vinc & C were absolutely great... guess last week's warm-up shoot helped in loosening them up for the shoot day. As the bride has requested not to post any shots of them... yet... I will just put up some detail shots for now... :D

It's always amazing how we are connected by 6 degrees of separation...

Vinc has been my Army colleague in the NSF days serving in the same Bn abeit different companies but a full circle came about when his lovely fiancee contacted me about doing her Pre-Wedding shoot.

At that point in time, I haven't the slightest idea that Vinc was her fiance so imagine the surprise when the both of them stepped in through the door on the day of our appointment and the rest was history. We caught up with each other's lives and talked about the shared experiences when serving in the Army, the funny stories and the colleagues we haven't seen for the longest time. In fact, after that meeting, we organised a gathering of sorts later on to reunite the old Armyheads in our batch of officers who served during the same period.

Anyway, back to the topic.. we had a great day of recce yesterday although the weather was excruciating warm but nothing beats great company, good fun and great foodie outing! Starting off with B&J's ice cream, we proceeded to Sunset Bar & Grill for their Level 6 buffalo wings (1st time for Vinc and it's a really funny sight to see him steaming from the spiciness), a very nice dinner @ Prive Bakery and then ended the day with yummz ice cream from 7th Heaven :p

C, apparently, is an ice cream fan whose sweet tooth will definitely divert the mosquitoes' attention from us when we shoot the actual PreWedding next week.. heeheehee... ;p

Updating this from Mac'kers (Mac'Donald's) near the apartment I stayed in... The weather here in Perth is really cool (litterally) and very clear... Practically can keep shooting till batteries run dry and still you get inspired by every nook and corner in and around Perth.

Have been travelling here and there with S & A, shooting a warm-up shoot on Fri and then their formals on Sat... it was fun and funnily, not the least bit tiring coz the weather has been great!

Anyway, here's some quikedits to share but I'm not very sure if they reflect the right tonal range as I edited them on my uncalibrated MBPro but what the heck, weather's good, everything go!



Basically shot a lot of images.. will be arranging to meet up with the Ong family and little Noah when they get here for their short getaway on Monday! :D Meantime, I'm just nua-ing ....

Actually I have the RAW files which Ead shot of us in Japan for some time already but never really got down to looking thru' them in details and when I did, they are so full of memories and it truly recorded us in that frame in time... That's the power of photography and that's coming from a wedding photographer himself as well as from Ms Clover herself (thanks Ead! :D)

So I did a little quick selection of the shots that caught my eyes and put them up here. The DI is minimal so credits to Eadwine Lay of Plush Photography :)
