Monday

Monday morning and I was awoken by Dory's (from Nemo) voice from the DVD I left playing in the laptop... darnz... must have fallen asleep without even realising it. It's raining heavily out here in the North and the sound of rain pelting my windows is simply therapeutic - a 'come back to the bed and sleep' effect ya' know... but I have work to do so it's up and running for me.

I always have a love/ hate relationship with rain. Ms Clover loves the rain - she always says rainy days are the best for snuggling up in your bed and read a book or watch your fav movie and then sleep. I like the rain coz I like the sound of it and the weather that's associated with rainy days (clouds of monotone gradient and how the scenes change from vibrant to a kind of desaturated look still fascinate me) I like takin pictures when there's impending rain... but I hate it coz I know I'm going to get wet and you can't go out and a whole lot of other reasons...

Was very tired yesterday - a combination of recovering from the dreaded flu and from the wedding coverage. Shots were good and I have, once again, found back my old pace of shooting. Was shooting like a machine gun the past 2 events so I told myself the night before this wedding to get back to my own pace: Observe, pre-amp and then trigger. Saves me a lot of time in post production also.

Had chicken for dinner, fried chicken... bad choice again.. woke up with a very bad throat this morning... sigh.. sad. Didn't have any lunch yesterday even though the couple has generously reserved a place in their banquet for me... usually wedding photogs don't really get to enjoy the food lah - we have to keep pace with the event flow and I think the only thing we get to touch is the 1st dish - appetisers, 2nd dish (if you are fortunate enuf) - shark's fin soup and the 5th dish - usually fish. But the couple also suffer the same deal.. funny, we buy ourselves a banquet but not enjoying it fully... the couple yesterday had many relatives and many proceedings in the luncheon and not forgetting a major shift in the table arrangment has put me out of the picture suddenly and so I was contented with my peanuts and fanta orange.. haha.. not that I'm complaining coz usually other wedding couples ain't that generous or due to the constraint of the number of turnout but there's no real obligations to the photog to invite him for the dinner.

Well, lots to do today. Later will be buying mooncakes for Ms Clover's parents - supposed to be done yesterday but I conked out @ 9.30pm while trying to formulate a good prcing for an upcoming commercial assignment and then go and change money to M'sia Rm and finish up an outstanding event which is due this weekend.

Later ^.^

yeah.. will do. Thanks for your concern.. trying to get well fast also... too much work still waiting for me :)
