Updates for today
Woke up really early this morning despite sleeping around 3am last nite. Must be the flu.. drats...
Can't sleep anymore so got up to check my email and play some com games to 'de-stress'. While playing, I remembered a conversation which I had with a client @ the Scott's Lounge inside Grand Hyatt last night (btw, do check the lounge out, the ambience and service is fantastic!) and they were very impressed at the length I go to whenI proposed meeting up with them in the hotel inside and going to the lounge which looks rather posh & expensive. I explained to them that it's all in the nature of good service and lasting impressions :)
I personally wouldn't like to present my portfolio to a client in a place where there's so much distractions and nosy people trying to see what the next table is doing. Clients get uncomfortable and I, too, get irritated coz I can't hold a decent conversation with the noise around me. Therefore usually I would choose the cafes I know that have good ambience, soft relaxing music in the background and good lighting to hold a meeting.
OUr conversation was so indulging that we totally forgot the time altogether as we chatted about work, about the photography industry as a whole, about my personal life and theirs as well. Eventually was 1/2 hr late from meeting silver_crv and his wife later in the night :p
Anyway, so my day begun rather early and after dilly-dallying a bit, I made my way down to town to get my lens and some other camera stuff which I foresee I would need for the rest of the weddings. A bit of retail therapy was the order of the day :)
Settled my plane tix to Penang this morning also... quite an adventure coz I will be going from Senai airport in JHB. Can't wait to see my darling.. missed her a lot :) Really thank God for providing the time frame and resources for this short trip.. kinda nice to travel to relax before hitting the work flow again.
Ohh! I nearly forgot - added a new section in the column on the right! These photoblogs are a MUST-SEE!
