Officially my beloved lens, the 50mm f1.8, gave way after the ROM shoot and came apart... hahaha.... well, I think it's also high time that I get a new one already considering this guy is about 5 years old (bought it from a previous owner who had it for 1 year before I bought it over 4 years ago!) Yup, this fellow served me very well and many of my portrait shots were shot using it (and of coz the 85mm but the focus is on the 50mm f1.8 now) and after 5 years of abuse.. it came apart rather comically as I was taking it out of my camera bag... a pop! and the focusing element came out and I realised I have "beheaded" my beloved lens..

Well, not in despair coz on hindsight... now I got a loupe for my negs! Yeah! So I guess it's really seeing beyond what should be an upsetting incident and give thanks that my beloved lens has did its duty to the very end.

Time to get another 50mm f1.8 tomorrow but its sister, the 50mm f1.4 is also alluring.. but the eldest sister of them, the 50mm f1.0 is really soooo irresistable...

Sigh.... *chants* ...have to save for my trip to HKG later this year... have to save for my trip to HKG later this year...
