Wednesday.... DVD marathon nite
As expected, her big toenail had to be removed completely coz there's a serious infection around the ingrown and the swelling will only get worse. So an advice for you girls... wear more sandals and less pointy shoes... :)
Ouch is the word of the day.
Okie, so we managed to get a little grocery shopping done and went over to the PLAY! machine to rent some DVDs... and wednesdays' are cheaper on the rental pricing too... watched Bride and Prejudice (lovely Bollywood styled show and all the ladies in there are very very pretty...), The Terminal (very heartwarming show...), The Aviator (Leonardo really deserved that oscar for best leading actor) and the more lighthearted 20,30,40 (Sylvia Chang's movies always always always get me hooked.. very subtled love and heart warming story presented in a modern yet straightforward manner and consistently, her attention to the society's changes and plus it's filmed in Taipei.. hahah...)
So yeah.. we watched 4 DVDs today... but not really one after the other... our intermission came in the form that I have to meet a client around 8pm and so resumed our movies at 9 plus.. how's that for a nice wednesday?
Cooked dinner - Serene's favourite soup of the month (Old Cucumber Soup with Spare ribs and Honey dates) topped the list.. I love cooking soup coz I'm quite a soup person oso... can just have plain rice and soup or hehehe.. just soup. Sri Lanka also had a lot of great soups.. missed the generous portions of brown onion soup and the really solid tomato soup with prawns...
Wah.. look at the time.. muz Zzzzz.... later people.
Bride and Prejudice - lovely???? My friend would have bit you off for that comment! :p Very typical Bollywood (stereotyping) style of movie... But yes, it's quite enjoyable if you are not worried/angst about the stereotyping... I kind of enjoy it too I supposed(Well, I did not let my friend knows this!!!! :p)... Watch it twice or thrice on the plane! (Not all at the same time!!!)
