Turned 26 today!!
Decided to celebrate a day earlier so that I can concentrate on finishing some design work tonight as I have to presen the draft to the client tomorrow.
Well... 26 years old today, no special feeling about it but I felt blessed to have friends and loved ones remembering this day. Indeed I have been blessed with lotsa love and good company throughout my 26 years. Last night's celebration at Pasta Brava (#11, Craig Rd) is really special - 1) the restaurant serves up the finest Italian crusine from pasta, buschetta and wine, 2) the ambience is superb for a nice dinner out with friends, 3) the owner of the resturant, Mr Rolando Luceri, is a very heart warming, sociable resturant owner who makes his guests feels perfectly at home, italian style.
Started off with appetisers - Portobello and prawns cooked in garlic, olive oil and brandy... perfect starters for the evening... had a bottle of WolfBrass Grey label CarbiSauv as well, a very interesting touch would be our main course, for those eating pasta/ or something with the wetter sauce, you will be given a bib to wear.. of coz the waiter comes and help you with that.. hahaha... very funny sight
ohh, and Mr Rolando actually had prep a slice of tiramisu cake for me :) and it is really one of the beter tasting ones around Singapore (so for those tiramisu cravers, please go try this one, I recommend it strongly).
After the meal, we adjourned to Meniotti @ Cityhall Raffles Sogo for our desserts... hehehe... and it's chocolate fiesta!! We had like 4 cakes/ pastry desserts and each of us a drink. Must try - Granitta (frozen chocolate latte with smooth cream foamy), Doppio (double espresso coffee) and this Chocolate Mousse cake... wahahaha... choc overdose!
We sat around, chitchat and swop stories... Shyam will also be leaving for India for her volunteer work (building homes) under the Humantarian project and finally, I have decided to join SIF to go Sri Lanka in June.
Ended like 10.40pm... tired, happy and blessed.
It's a wonderful evening :)
