Wireless at last!!!

Yay! finally typing this entry on the powerbook @ home! No more going to Mac'Ds to use their network and tempting myself with french fries, burgers and apple pies (SuperSizeMe the movie really hits home on going cholestrol-laden)

Thanks to Teh Peng & Visible Invisible for helping out with the networking stuff... the technicalities would have stumped me totally (esp the configs)..

haha.. well, had a grand time shopping for the IT stuff yesterday @ Sim Lim (it also rained the whole entire day.. no joke.. really cold and wet) Nevertheless, we all made the trip down. There's just so many things you want to get your hands on... but then I'm sticking to my budget outlay of SGD$500 for everything - well, as always I blew the budget by a little (Ms Clover's definitely not happy with it but then again, what to do with a boyfren like me ? ^.^)

So my shopping list was:

1) Linksys Wireless Router (SGD$95)
2) PCI Ethernet card (SGD$19)
3) Corsair DDRram 2700 512mb 333mhz for my PC (SGD$125)
4) Seagate 120Gbs 7200rpm HDD (SGD$149)
5) KVM Switch for my PS2 to Moniter connection (SGD$54)*
6) Logitech MX 510 Precision mouse (SGD$75)*

Total - SGD$ 517.00

7) The freedom of wireless and no more lagging on the PC - PRICELESS!!! : )

Heh heh,, the last 2 items on the shopping list was really bought on impulse (Ms Clover was like giving me the big NO-NO look when I was drooling over the design and coolness of the Logitech mouse) but in the end, all 3 of us (including Teh Peng and Visible Invisible) bought one each... so ultimately cool... and for the KVM switch, I was aiming for that for the longest time since my room's TV went bonkers and repairing it would cost about SGD$150 so... it's much more economical to get this switch thing and use my existing computer moniter as display output.

Just how cool is the Logitech mouse - check it out !
the red one is just so sleek!

Well, now that I'm wireless it means no more fighting on who gets to surf when Serene's over at my place and the good thing, I can now do everything on my Mac and in addition, interface with my PC like a local LAN!

Fwah!! the power of computer terminology.. all that Swordfish talk..

Well, got to go back to my work and stop thinking about going down to SimLim Sq any sooner... although... heh heh heh.. my Powerbook do need more Rams (currently just running on bare minimum of 512mbs)... hmm...really just as women can't get enough of handbags, shoes and clothes... Guys can't get enough of tech stuff and computing power

Okie later people!

What!?? Tehpeng bought a mouse!? But he just got a mouse for his powerbook and he claimed he like the mouse hooked to his PC! huh??

doo bee doo bee dooo.... *whistles and looks at the sky*

Heh.... Glad you are happy with it.. You should... Blow more than half a K in just 1 hour?!?!?

Look the mouse... Very nice feel and the mouse is not longer drifting away... But I must say... I never did like RED!!!!

Dang... I might have to blow $125 to buy that DDR Ram as well... I think I found why my PC can freeze anytime... Just happened to me PC again just now... Think the RAM got problem liao... I thot was the harddisk, but with this "new" one, also same issue... Think it's RAM... Haiz... Supposed to upgrade me PC one... Too bad... Another 2 years time... :P
