The joy of giving....

Well, finally had time today to do up some last minute X'mas shopping with Ms Clover.

It was quite an experience for the both of us in like deciding what to buy for each of our individual friends and mutual friends. Remind me not to go last minute shopping also coz Orchard Road and the City area is packed... really packed till the point that you have to squeeze your way around.

With all the bazaar stalls lined up in the walkways of Orchard and the masses of people who either were there to enjoy the performances by the churches of Singapore or to do some last minute shoppings or just to soak in the atmosphere of Christmas in Singapore.

Indeed this year's X'mas season is a little different as this is the 1st time Christian organisations are invited to participate in public areas in big scale(which, as far as I know, used to be restricted to some performance area in a small patch of field.) This year round, we see choir performances from churches, young bands, stage performances and evangelising acts that speaks the story of X'mas and the story of Jesus to Singapore. Praise God for such wonderful opportunities to tell people about God and His saving salvation: Christ our Saviour.

While we enjoyed ourselves shopping and looking for nice interesting gifts, as well as enjoying some of the public performances that really caught our attention while walking from shopping centers to the next... it was a nice warm feeling to know that the Word is preached every few minutes and that a Seed is planted in the hearts and in time, the harvest will be ready.

Although both of us were tired out from the shopping (I think we spent quite an amount also), it was the joy of giving that left us feeling good for the rest of the night. I think that's what X'mas season is all about also: the spirit of giving, that bringing of a smile to someone's face when you give.

Well, enough talk coz we got to start wrapping presents soon.

Later :D
