Yumzzz...

thanks to FaerieImps' recommendation of great French cuisine, we went off to Le Bistrot (located @ Indoor Stadium) for dinner tonight...

well, no time to post pics for now coz I got a wedding to cover tomorrow but both Ms Clover and me give the delectable food, cosy ambience and attentive services 4 thumbs-ups! Well who wouldn't after a superb 3 course dinner consisting of Gratinated Onion Soup/ Tripes a la Nicoise, Duck leg Confit/ Yorkshire pork, Mousse au Chocolat/ Creme brulee, 2x Gonet Champagne and 2x Red and White House wine... parfait!

The food quality's so much better than Le Troquet located along Balastier Rd although Le Bistrot doesn't seem have Foie Gras on the menu.

Next up, Au Petit Salut French restaurant in Harding Rd :)

will update this entry after Sunday *updated here*

cafe Warisan (Seminyak)

It's understated to say that the restaurant serves one of the best French food on the island.... after dinner tonight, we were utterly convinced that it is best of the best of French food around... so much so that it beats Le bistrot in terms of the quality of food, presentation and the wine selection! Yes, I'm not joking... it is THAT good.

For starters, the foie gras with the raspberry sauce is so good, I almost jumped to cloud 9 from the 1st bite... the presentation is standard french crusine but the taste is heavenly... it melts in your mouth and the burst of pan-seared goodness just lingers in your mouth with the excellent compliment from the raspberry sauce. Considerable that the restaurant is famous for their foie gras, it lived up to its reputation with full marks! Yummzzzz..... if you are a lover for french food and foie gras, please come down to Cafe Warisan to try it out.

Our mains of Angus beef tenderloin and Roasted Rack of lamb is perfect to the last detail. Medium rare is truly medium rare, the taste ohhh! so divine.... the tenderloin is very well marinated and tender to the core.. bovine juices just ooze from every cut. The rack of lamb is very well done without the sourish smell or taste, compliments the roasted whole garlic and all season beans.... the whole course was accompanied with a 2005 Western Australian Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot from Mad Fish vineyard.

Sad to say, the place is quite dark to take very decent photos but here's some to share:

So when you are in Bali, do make the trouble to come down to Cafe Warisan for a great meal! It's not eactly cheap but it's definitely worth the price you pay :)
