Something Beautiful - Photo exhibition by Zhang Jing Na

I was extremely honored to be invited to Zemotion's opening reception of her solo exhibition 'Something Beautiful' this evening @ the Art House (No.1 Old Parliment Lane).

It's quite funny how we met in the 1st place... I've always been interested to collaborate with her on a shoot idea that I had some years back and how I admire her much earlier works which she posted in Clubsnap forums. So we got together and worked on 2 really amateurish shoots for fun... gosh... those were the days :p

It's amazing how much this lady has progressed over the short span of time from being in the Singapore Air-Rifles women team to now, an extremely well-known and one of the youngest fashion photographers in the industry, all in 2 - 3 years! The works that she has shot are simply breath-taking and ethereal. For a lady of such young age, the artistic depth of her photography sense is as mature as some of the industry's best veterans!

To me, this exhibition shouldn't be called ' Something beautiful' but 'Everything's beautiful' coz EVERYTHING is really BEAUTIFUL! If I can, I would want all the canvas prints exhibited to adore my walls at home but a numbered limited edition hardcover book of the exhibition will have to suffice for now...

so here's again to you Zemo, my heartiest congratulations and many more breathtaking works from you in the near future! :D
