2nd visit to Menya Shinchan
I love their Tsukemen!!! Slurp!!!
After a good short practice @ Marina Bay Golf course with Char Siu bao and Xiao Long bao in the evening, I wanted to show them this little piece of delightful haven in the heart of Robertson Quay.
hehheehee.. I think they like it although I still have no idea why no one can actually finish the Madame Sinjiro (which is especially catered to the ladies somemore ie: more veg and less noodles)? Xiao Long Bao was only 1/3 through it when she declared a temporary white flag .. hehehhe...
as for Char Siu Bao, he had the Kuro Ma-yu Ramen (the same one I had the other time) while I tried the Shoyu Tsukemen. The dipping sauce is light and zesty. Goes exceptionally well with my handmade ramen (for extra zest, I recommend squeezing some lime over the ramen before dipping)
Beside that we had 2 onigiri, (I made it a point to have one each time I visit an authentic japanese food outlet): one Konbu and one Ume... introduced Xiao Long Bao to the Grapefruit Chu-Hi which Ms Clover and myself love and must have every time we go grocery shopping in the convenient marts in Japan....
Evening ended with a drink @ Laurent Bernard Chocolate with Xiao Long Bao while Char Siu Bao needed to go home and paint a yellow chinese bowl (that one is a private joke) but with such a lovely evening out with good friends, I'm super looking forward to our trip tomorrow!
think i really need to pay this place a visit one day ...sooooon

hahaha... yupz yupz! It's really nice in the evenings so go around 6.45pm and then after that, you guys can go for a stroll around the area. Gauranteed shiok!

yes yes! indeed! Ahh, I'm reading with a lot of interest on your to-go place: TOMO Fine Dining... aiyoh... super tempted to go 'Omakase' there :p

You mean u have not gone there yet!?!? Aren't u a jap food fan, I would have thot u have gone there a couple of times...
I have been wanting to go try Kaisen, but it was closed before I got the chance... So Tomo was the next target after hearing the chef started it...
Next stop Nogawa...
