Overdue Update - Part 2
Today we celebrated our 5th anniversary! As the years went by, I grew to appreciate and love Ms Clover more and more. Come to think of it, it was 5 years ago that we met up, facing each other awkwardly in Coffeebean cafe down @ Holland Village, wondering what else to say to each other to make each other feel at ease... hehehe...
Anyway, Ms Clover took 1/2 day leave today while I was busy in the morning clearing a corporate assignment @ NTU. After which we went for a simple lunch and off to town to look @ something which was on my mind for a long time... and in the end we bought it! Nope.. not an engagement ring or wedding bands lah... *hold breath*
I finally bought the Canon 1Dmk2n camera.
After delibrating and discussing with Ms Clover for a few months, we decided to get the camera in Singapore rather than in HKG due to the warranty issue as well as for a peace of mind. Well, it still took us about an hour to finalise our decision and to see if what we have decided is advantageous compared to the other options offered and we went for it. Although I'm happy to get the camera as it will definitely save me a lot of post pro work and an increased in image and technical qualities will ensure better and more creative photos as I was kinda limited by my 3 yr old 10D's mechanical aspects like high noise @ ISO 400, slow AF speed.. etc etc..
As usual, our anniversary celebration must go with a dinner and we chose Sushi Tei @ Raffles for a good meal of quality japanese food. As the place just opened, there's a 15% discount for in-dining bill above SGD$50 and there's also a special Spring menu which features King crabs (YUMS!)
Anyway, hands up for those who like Uni (sea urchin)? I totally hate it and will remember to pluck some from the seabed when I dive the next time for you guys who have their hands up. I know it's an acquired taste BUT man, it tasted SO BAD... the aftertaste is horrible... I will never order Uni ever again.. never... and I hate sea urchins now....
Do try out their mini King Crab Steamboat (SGD$18+++), well worth the money!
Will post pics later on.. now have to rest for another corporate shoot later in the day....
congrats on your new baby man!! and ur anniversary of course! double happiness!! hahaha
u better get used to the weight fast.. =)

Congratulations on buying the 1Dmk2n. I hope that you will start to shoot raw. It will really help.
