Last update before flying back...
Anyway, for the past few days we have been down to TaiChung and stayed at this place where you won't believe your eyes when you step into the apartment... yupz, it's not a hotel-like room but an apartment styled luxury stay with ... *drumroll please* ... a 15 metres private indoor pool (the water though, dun come heated... it's really ice cold!) inbuilt!!! Dun believe it? check out the shots -
The bedroom
The indoor VERY cold swimming pool
Reverse view... check out how far Ms Clover is.. and we are still in the same apartment space... talk about BIG!
The bathtub with a tele in the wall... the main room has a 42" flat panel with surround sound... very cool when we watched Count of Monte Cristo and Shrek2 via the DVD deck.
Righty... the original plan was to go up to HeHuanShan to see the snow but after checking around with the local tour guides and the tourism booth, it wil take about 6 hours with lotsa haggling with the private tour buses to go up to the place which was still snowing since we last heard. Further more, we were rather ill-prep for the snow as our coats ain't thermo enuf to withstand the extreme cold up in the mountains (and it's really quite expensive and not economical to buy them for just a 2 hours sightsee) so... we decided to just relax in the lovely apartment and explore a little of TaiChung (which really is lacklustre difference from the bustling metropolitian Taipei, TaiChung is more homely, more neighbourhoodly city with lotsa university and schools around every corner... )
Well, the brief stay in TaiChing was good in terms of the accomodation, the activities there rated zero... totally boring. So we are back in Taipei now and since we haven't really taken any good shots, it just so happened that yesterday was really a windy and gloomy grey day (matter of factly, everywhere's just grey and overcast) and we decided to head down to SiMenDing (which is a very crowded youngster place since 1pm onwards) for a quick afternoon tea before we head up to WuLai's HotSpring Spa.
Since the lighting in that place was pretty cool, might as well try some shots -
hehehe... well the weather up in WuLaiShan was very cold... in fact it's about 8 - 9 degrees ... so it's time to pull out some of the warmer clothings we bought when we came up...
here's me before our dinner got served :)
Will update more when we are back in Singapore :)
Later!!
