Boxing day and a moment to recap...
Well, I felt that X'mas flew past the window in a blink of an eye and here I am, typing away @ another entry on the blog while music from Josh Groban's Noel album plays in the background and on the other side, the powerbook is beckoning me to finish up all the backlogs (kill me already!)
Christmas Eve was a fun one... we went to Fassler, which is fast becoming my fav. wholesale outlet in Woodlands for very affordable and very good quality seafood and party platters, in the late morning to pick up our pre-ordered Int'l Cheese platter and Salmon plate while Ms Clover's parents went down to One15 Marina to pick up the Christmas honey baked ham for the Christmas makan in the evening. Stopped along the way to pick up 2 bottles of Piper Champagne (each bottle is going for like SGD$ 46 only!) @ NTUC before heading over to Ms Clover's place.
The X'mas ham was EXCELLENT! Coupled with the pineapple port wine sauce, it is simply an indulgence to chomp down on the succulent baked slices. With so much to eat, we also had whites from Miguel Torres's San Medin (Chilean wine) and of coz, the Piper champagnes. The additional was a 1996 red wine which Ms Clover's brother brought back from Johannesburg.. so you can tell, by the time I was leaving for church, I'm quite buzzed/ high/ lethargic/ sleepy...
The Christmas service was held this time @ night which is quite a good idea coz it kinda unite everyone in celebrating the crossover from X'mas eve to X'mas. The sermon given by the incoming Pastor, Rev Soh G.K, was uplifting and certainly entertaining! The band was good, abet maybe a little loud on my end coz I was having a little hangover by then but hey I always want to give it a big bang to usher in the festivities! Well, attendance in church was quite a record also.. so many people I have never seen in the regular church service before... Met up with Ms BeanBean and DD in church also (nice to see you guys there!) :D
Anyway, went back to Ms Clover's place for some more food and more entertainment in the form of Mahjong.. well, it's a way to spend X'mas morning :)
Nothing much on X'mas day except doing a bit of work here and there and just resting my head from the late night MJ session... lost money but hey, it was good fun!
Back to work....
