Updates from Taipei... (7) : pictorials
The weather there is a definite welcome as opposed to the usual humid weather in Singaland. Food's cheap and good.
Anyway, more pics to share:
凉面.
The story goes like this: we went over to SiLing (士林夜市)Night market and decided to have ourselves a bowl of liang mien. 3 types of hotness to choose from so Ead and I went for the xiao la (小辣)while WS went for the zhong la (中辣). A good thing coz it's enough to kill our tastebuds. Ohh, the ultimate? kwang la (狂辣)... I dread to think how we even can stomach it....

狂辣 mian sounds scary... did you guys have blistering red lips after the noodles?

snooze: hehehe... nothing beats the authentic la mian :)
silver_crv: 1 sec exposure handheld but I like the effect. hahaha... I love that shot of the scooters too... something funny about the whole pic.
dR: yupz, it is scary. The lady of the store kept telling us to try the xiao la 1st. The person ordering the kuang la has to be given a taste test (store policy in writing somemore) 1st before it's being served up. I guess they dun want anyone to risk dying of eating chilli. Hehee... no blistering lips but the tongue and lips kinda lost their feeling for a while... :p Cool thing... the mian is cool but we can eat until we perspire (literally driplets of sweat) on a 14 degrees night.
